An emergency situation declared under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in Brisbane City this morning has been revoked.
The emergency situation was declared at 11.20am after police received reports of an armed person in Queen Street Mall.
Police used less than lethal rounds to subdue a 34-year-old man before taking him into custody.
The man was transported to Royal Brisbane Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
As per standard practice, Ethical Standards Command will overview an investigation into the appropriateness of the police action in resolving the incident.
