A NOOSA motorist with a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit was one of the worst offenders caught on Queensland roads on Easter Saturday.
Police said the 33-year-old man registered 0.172% when he was stopped by police.
But he wasn't the worst caught on Saturday - that claim fell to a 28-year-old man who recorded 0.256% on the Gold Coast.
By last night, four people had died in fatal accidents over Easter, including a 41-year-old Maroochydore man who died when his motorcycle hit a tree at Cooyar.
Two women, aged 32 and 19, were killed in separate vehicles in a head-on collision outside Mareeba and a 29-year-old police constable was killed near Georgetown, in the state's north.
The fatal crashes, which all occurred on Good Friday, brought the state's road toll for the year to 74, compared to 53 for the same period last year.
The police figures showed 10,346 people had been caught speeding up to midnight Saturday - well up on the 8978 caught for the same period last year.
